A Fire That Burns in Europe
For centuries the world has focused on Europe. It is situated within a relatively small geographical area with over 100 languages, 48 countries and many more cultures with history stretching over thousands of years. Europe has been a leader for centuries in setting the stage for the rest of the world in architecture, law, technology, science, culture and religion. It is a place of influence. It has been a home, sadly, for two World Wars and has produced such Christian giants as Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, and Charles Spurgeon.

Is There Any Place on Earth Like China?
China has almost one and one-half billion people – more than 20% of all people on the earth! She has rapidly become a military and economic superpower. Her massive factories and underpaid workforce, the world’s largest, are producing goods and services for the entire world.
When the brutal dictator Mao expelled the Nationalists from China in the late 1940s, he established a reign of terror with an official policy to eliminate religion from Chinese society. Locked behind the Bamboo Curtain and reduced in number to 500,000 adherents, the Chinese Church seemed to have no hope for survival. The world assumed the faithful in China had been fully eliminated.

Under the Surface: The Ground in Cameroon Was Ready
Cameroon is Africa’s most complex country with over 280 languages and potentially over 500 ethnic groups. It is located in the continental “hinge” between Central and West Africa, sharing a border with Nigeria on the west. Cameroon has experienced a rapid growth in Christianity in the 1990’s through church plants, national missionaries, and evangelistic efforts.
In spite of this growth in Christianity, the country faces issues common in many parts of Africa; physical poverty and hardship are exacerbated by increasing media and materialism imported from the west and global inflation, alongside traditions of business which include payment of bribes in every level of society; there is deep spiritual poverty due to long-standing nominal Christianity. Million Leaders Mandate Training Update, January 2008
The Million Leaders Mandate Volume 2 curriculum will be launched in the Middle East on March 21 & 22 in Beirut, Lebanon, and in Cairo in April.
Volume 2 MLM training begins in the Philippines in Manila on February 11-12, in Cagayan de Oro February 14-15 and in Cebu City, February 18-19.
We launch the second phase of Volume 1 training in Latin America in February and March.
We will be in 33 different cities in Latin America from February through April!
Cambodia, July 2007
On July 16, in collaboration with a partnership ministry, EQUIP launched its Million Leaders Mandate training in Cambodia with over 700 leaders in attendance.
Each of the 700 leaders has committed to mentor at least ten other leaders over the next three years, resulting in at least 7000 newly equipped Christian leaders in Cambodia.
This training here is special for two reasons: The first, being that that Cambodia lost nearly all of its leadership during the brutal genocide under Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. And the second, this means that EQUIP is now training leaders in 111 countries.
Praise God for our success but also please pray for Cambodia and other nations.
