The analogy of a "flyover" is often overused and as a result, often under-valued!
However, a "flyover" of EQUIP’s long-term leadership development strategy and curricula is important to review. That way, both present and future friends of the ministry can easily and visually grasp the “Big Picture Perspective” of not only where and who EQUIP trains - but understand the strategic approach that we are providing partners around the globe!
EQUIP is very close to completing our third volume of six freestanding (yet carefully coordinated) notebooks on leadership growth and organizational development. The first volume (6 notebooks/36 leadership lessons) was completed in 2003. The second volume (6 notebooks/36 leadership lessons) came to fruition in 2007 and 2008. Later this year, EQUIP’s third volume (6 notebooks/36 leadership lessons) will be nearly completed and launched in 2010/11.
If you do some "flyover" math, you can add it up very … each volume is taught and re-taught in various formats for approximately three years! With appropriate six months to one year “breaks” in ramping from one volume to the next, you discover that slowly, yet faithfully, EQUIP has assembled a decade-long process for leadership growth and organizational development!
Every one of the 108 lessons in these collective three volumes stays true to the Biblical principles and practices of leadership. Each lesson’s theme is rooted in one or more books and/or solo leadership lessons by John Maxwell, EQUIP Founder. Each lesson has been field-tested and has universal application.
The decade-long strategy reinforces what EQUIP has been saying about leadership since Day 1:
• Leaders are built daily, not in a day.
• Leadership is a process, not an event.
In concert and succession with every volume’s delivery is the increasing and intentional empowerment given to our 100-plus National Coordinators. Every passing year, our coordinators are more empowered to “own” the EQUIP process and delivery while the Atlanta office continues to equip and encourage them to new levels of leadership. As the leaders we train return to their home churches and train others, the multiplication impact is staggering – and the work of our Lord’s Great Commission accelerates. A strategy to help a church, a community and nation in leadership training is unparalleled in need and urgency because in every nation it’s the leaders who impact the lives of the followers. Your prayers, time and financial support are essential to make sure this decade-long process of leadership and organizational training is made available to our partners around the world.
Thank you for your support. We need it like we’ve never needed it before.
Sincerely,

Dr. John Hull
President/CEO, EQUIP
