How To Choose A Leader with John C. Maxwell

::How To Choose A Leader. A Special Townhall Meeting::

Right now, the nation is focused on two men, one of which will be the next President of the United States. Who will you vote for? Elections matter. Elected leaders make decisions and form policies which impact our future lives and security. To make sure the right leader is elected, we must ask the tough questions:

What are the qualities that matter in a leader? How do we choose the leader who will impact every aspect of American life?
On September 12, Moody Radio and Leadership Moment hosted a Town Hall... read more.

::Leadership Moment has gone international!::

Around the world our partners are taking Leadership Moment and using it as an additional resource for personal growth and encouragement to their communities. Today Leadership Moment is heard in England, Philippines, Canada, Bermuda, Virgin Island, Turks Island, West Indies, South Africa and is about to launch in Latin America.

Station in Cape Town, South Africa

In Latin America, the voice of John Maxwell is Marcos Witt and the voice of John Hull is John Vereecken- both are our partners at Lidere. We hear almost daily from international listeners about the value of this short radio feature.

EQUIP is thrilled to welcome Lorie Hartshorn to the team. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Lorie and her husband Dean, have 3 children. Once in the workplace, Lorie quickly established herself as a visionary leader with exceptional communication and relational skills. She brings to EQUIP Canada a passion to train and equip leaders as well as many years of effective ministry in donor development.

Lorie is excited about the opportunity to mobilize Canadians as ministry partners to help develop Great Commission leaders.

Into the Hands of Leaders

“The silent influence of books, is a mighty power in the world . . . Silent, passive, and noiseless though they be, they yet set in action countless multitudes, and change the order of nations.” - Henry Giles

There is no doubt that resources influence. The power of the printed page is that it does not stop with the page – it keeps on giving. It is available for continued study, meditation, application, and to pass on to others.

The power of the printed page becomes exponential when put into the hands of leaders because leaders multiply as they teach others leaders. That is why one of EQUIP’s core values is to provide resources needed for effective leadership and... read more.

Recently, some members of our EQUIP team had a unique opportunity. Instead of attending a Million Leaders Mandate conference overseas, we attended a MLM conference right here in Atlanta! Lidere, EQUIP’s regional partner in Latin America, has a vision to equip the leaders of the Hispanic church in the United States.
Marcos Witt

The first MLM conference held in Atlanta was September 5 & 6, with over 100 Hispanic church leaders attending. MLM USA has also been launched in Miami and Houston. This initiative is completely developed and underwritten through Lidere’s leadership.

Lidere believes there is a huge need for leadership training for the Hispanic church in the US. In some areas, the Hispanic church in the US is more complex and untrained than the church in Latin America. In the US, Hispanics come from various Latin countries, which means they have different cultures and points of views. This diversity... read more.

Before His death, Jesus prayed for Himself and His disciples, and then He prayed for those who would believe:

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."
- John 17:20-23

The end of Jesus’ prayer can seem rather foreign in today’s ever-individualized society, even amongst the Body of Christ. “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world... read more.

John Hull, President/CEO, EQUIP“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
Psalm 20:7

This scripture has meant a lot to me during this time when there is much uncertainty in our economy. Here at EQUIP, we have been extremely grateful for the Lord’s provisions and the ways our friends have continued to invest in training leaders around the world. Still, these are precarious times and many of our friends are in trouble.

We are doing everything we can to plan well for how this might effect EQUIP, and at the same time we will not let up in what we believe God wants to continue to do around the world. As President/CEO of EQUIP, I recognize the lack of control I have over many things- but what we can do- we are doing vigilantly!

There are a few ways we are being proactive and I want to share those with you.

We have a commitment to:

1. Wisely use every resource given to us.
2. Diligently control expenses.
3. Stay focused on our God-given... read more.

As you open your mail during the Christmas season and read about countless spiritual and humanitarian needs around the world, do you ever wish there was a way you could invest in all of them?

What if you could invest in something that would help meet all the needs- AND most importantly, share the good news of the gospel, too?

Here at EQUIP, we minister everyday to the top Christian leaders around the world. They influence millions through their churches and organizations. On the front lines of... read more.

I am so honored to have a 6 month internship here at EQUIP. The experience and personal growth that I have received in such a relatively short amount of time has been truly incredible.
