“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” - Psalm 20:7
This scripture has meant a lot to me during this time when there is much uncertainty in our economy. Here at EQUIP, we have been extremely grateful for the Lord’s provisions and the ways our friends have continued to invest in training leaders around the world. Still, these are precarious times and many of our friends are in trouble. We are doing everything we can to plan well for how this might effect EQUIP, and at the same time we will not let up in what we believe God wants to continue to do around the world. As President/CEO of EQUIP, I recognize the lack of control I have over many things- but what we can do- we are doing vigilantly! There are a few ways we are being proactive and I want to share those with you.
We have a commitment to:
1. Wisely use every resource given to us.
2. Diligently control expenses.
3. Stay focused on our God-given mission to train effective leaders to reach the nations for Christ. 4. Faithfully build partnerships with other evangelical ministries, eliminating competition and multiplying effectiveness.
5. Daily trust the Lord for His favor and provision.
6. Live in a spirit of prayer and regularly ask our friends to pray for us.
Recently, a friend of EQUIP emailed us with an encouraging word and another scripture we are claiming right now.
“He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has not worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” - Jeremiah 17:8
Please do not stop investing in Godly, servant leaders around the world! It is perhaps the most important time to invest in them! And in your own life and business, may you be comforted and reminded of the truths in these dear passages. Know that God is not in heaven wringing his hands and worried. He is still on the throne and His purposes will prevail. We must continue to be about His business.
