::Leadership Moment::
It'll Only Take A Minute

"What a help to me as a stay-at-home mom…Thanks for praying for me… Yesterday’s program was a great blessing… I went to your website and saw all you are doing around the world; I will be praying… I ordered the kit off your website too…”

This is an example of the comments we are receiving from our daily radio feature – Leadership Moment. This short feature is designed to teach biblical servant leadership to a diverse audience – from the stay-at-home mom to the CEO.

Relevant…timely…unique…focused…creative…”  are just some of the words that station managers are using. As a result, the number of stations carrying Leadership Moment has grown to 1,098 in one year. Those numbers fluctuate because we audit the stations every six months to be sure they are carrying the program, which is unheard of for a short feature in radio.

God has shown favor and at the recent National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB) held in Nashville, Tennessee, Leadership Moment received the Radio Program of the Year Award (Short Form)!

EQUIP was also asked to lead seven workshops at NRB on building relationships in ministry. Here are some of the comments received by those in attendance,
“I have been coming to NRB for 32 years and this is the best training I have received” said one station owner. “I was at all seven workshops; I learned so much, Can you come and work with our ministry?”

By Sarah Jones, Director of International Ministries

Latin America is at a crucial time in its history. From changes in the political climate to the massive growth of the Church over the last decades, the time is ripe for leadership training in Latin America. In Brazil, the Church has grown from approximately 6% of the population to 15% in the last 10 years. The estimates are that it will grow to 30% in the next 10 years, which means that some 30 million people are expected to come to Christ in the next decade in Brazil. There is a desperate need for trained, servant leaders!

John C. Maxwell, along with EQUIP... read more.

Hello from our EQUIP office in Johns Creek, Georgia!

If you have never heard of Johns Creek, I can certainly understand why. Johns Creek is the newest city in Georgia. In fact, many proclaim it as the newest city in America! The city of Johns Creek was launched last year and almost overnight, became the sixth most populated city in the state! The city is quite the story and you can learn more about it by visiting www.johnscreekga.gov.

Not long after Johns Creek was chartered and a mayor and city council elected, a place was needed to house city government. It was just about a year ago that EQUIP, INJOY Stewardship Services... read more.

Recently, EQUIP received a very generous gift from Jackie Goad, the widow of Rick Goad.

Jackie sent the gift in memory of her beloved Rick and designated it to help EQUIP train and resource Christian leaders serving in North Korea, one of the most dark, dangerous, difficult places on our planet.

As I held her check in my hand, a thousand memories flooded my mind about Rick, an extraordinary servant of our Lord and very special friend of EQUIP. He took partnership to the highest level as he prayed daily for EQUIP, gave generously and faithfully, and seized every opportunity to involve others with EQUIP.

Several of our current Associate Trainers and most generous financial partners were introduced to EQUIP by Rick. When Rick, still quite a young man, was stricken with pancreatic cancer, he was actively involved in searching... read more.

We were recently blessed with a visit to our office by Pastor Raphael Silwamba of Zambia who has gone through EQUIP’s training. He eagerly shared his story before we could even ask an interview question! What he shared is an amazing picture of the difference that leadership training makes for ministry leaders.

Pastor Silwamba shared with gratitude in his eyes, “I have been in ministry for 23 years. But most of us came out of Bible school without learning how to be a leader. So, when I heard of the training, I wanted to be there. So I went... read more.
