“Way too many to count” is what I’m hearing over and over!
The Million Leaders Mandate training has taken hold in a big way and exponential growth is happening. Those who have been trained are doing what leaders do, seeing the need for more and better leaders and passionately meeting that need with leadership training (read the stories posted at www.iequip.org/yourpiece ).This ripple effect is wonderful news. It was always part of Dr. John C. Maxwell’s dream when he launched EQUIP.
Today, it's nearly impossible to realistically track the numbers of leaders that are in training internationally. On the second of January we learned of an indigenous organization in Africa that is taking the Million Leaders Mandate training to their stream of influence…and they even made their own EQUIP T-shirts! Just twenty minutes later, I received a phone call from a ministry teaching the Million Leaders Mandate curriculum in Trinidad.
We had no idea of these new initiatives. This is happening all over the world as almost every day we hear reports of how leaders are spreading the Million Leaders Mandate training. “Million Leaders Mandate training is viral and it's spreading - it's out of control” is heard over and over from our Certified Trainers and ministry partners around the world. This is a very good thing! Because this means your investment in EQUIP is being multiplied! As more leaders are developed and the capacity of leaders is expanded, they are accomplishing more and more for the Kingdom.
We know the numbers of leaders is far greater than what is reported to us here in Atlanta in a quantitative form, but the impact of that training is what really matters most. Therefore, today, because of the positive results worldwide, we have a whole new perspective on how we quantify the impact of the Million Leaders Mandate training.
The fulfillment of the vision is our measuring stick. The vision of EQUIP is “to see effective Christian leaders fulfill the great commission in every nation.” The focus of our vision is to train leaders in every country to impact their churches, their communities, and their nations. Our new approach for 2008 and beyond is to track how many countries EQUIP is in with the Million Leader Mandate training and process.
Through EQUIP conferences, partnerships, Associate Trainers, and Certified National Trainers, the Million Leaders Mandate training is being used in a process-oriented way in 106 nations, which includes most of the countries in the 10/40 window, as well as Palestine. As we look to the future, EQUIP is on a strategic course to impact leaders in every nation by 2012, offering biblical servant leadership training through the Million Leader Mandate process.
