410Bridge exists to walk alongside the people of Kenya. 410Bridge provides individuals, churches and organizations with a bridge to serve Kenya and provide the support needed to change the face of their communities.  The 410Bridge was founded to honor the Word of God in 1 Peter 4:10 which states, “Each of us should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others, faithfully ministering God's grace in its various forms”. One of the gifts needed in Kenya is leadership training, and 410Bridge is getting the job done one village at a time.

The Russian Baptist Union

The Russian Baptist Union, comprised of 1,900 churches, is the largest union in all of Russia. They will be bringing together one representative from each of their fifty regions every six months in Moscow for Million Leader Mandate training.  In addition to these fifty representatives, they will be bringing in professors from their universities and schools throughout Russia. All will go back and teach others who will teach others.

It’s Out of Control!

“Way too many to count” is what I’m hearing over and over!

The Million Leaders Mandate training has taken hold in a big way and exponential growth is happening. Those who have been trained are doing what leaders do, seeing the need for more and better leaders and passionately meeting that need with leadership training (read the stories posted at www.iequip.org/yourpiece ).

This ripple effect is wonderful news. It was always part of Dr. John C. Maxwell’s dream when he launched EQUIP.

Today, it's nearly impossible to realistically track the numbers of leaders that are in training internationally. On the second of January we learned of an indigenous organization in Africa that... read more about what God is doing in the world today.

A Light in Lawley - Click to read more

By Sarah Jones

On our recent visit to South Africa, our host took us by the Soweto cemetery. It was like nothing I had ever seen. There was row upon row of fresh graves stretching for hundreds of yards. As we peered through the gate, we saw backhoes digging new troughs for graves in order to keep up with the need.

There used to be funerals only on Saturdays, but now in order to accommodate all of the grieving families, there are funerals almost every day. The burials begin at each end of the trough, and they gradually work towards the middle in order to keep the grieving families separate as long as possible.

The Soweto cemetery is a sobering visual of the impact of AIDS. South Africa has the largest AIDS populations in the world, with about 27% of South Africans having HIV or AIDS. In the midst of this dark tragedy, we saw a ray of light shining a message of hope.

Wendy and Wilcox joined Million Leaders Mandate in... read more about how EQUIP is helping to battle the AIDS crisis in Africa.

My wife, Vicki, and I are taking the stewardship journey together.  We pray that our story will be a blessing and challenge to friends of EQUIP who are still growing as Biblical givers in response to their faith.  I would like to share our story in sections which will give you an overall picture…

Cheerfulness Discovered
The end of 1983 marked my fifth year as a Christian and the first full year of my ownership of an architectural/engineering company.  We were in debt but surviving! It was Christmastime, so in recognition of the Lord’s blessings, we gave to three ministries in our community.  Our gifts totaled only $3,000, but as I delivered those checks, I am sure I had never felt more cheerfulness.  My heart overflowed with gratitude toward God.  Over the next few years our company of about ten employees steadily grew in business, people, profits, giving, and joy!

More Chores, Less Cheer
Because our fiscal year ended with the calendar year, our year-end business obligations began to collide... read more.

A few years ago, the Christian publication, Discipleship Journal, had a special section dedicated to settings and statistics concerning our globe. The particular article was entitled "Where in the World?" Recently, I pulled that article from my file and was sobered, once again, by the breath and depth of the world in which we live. Here are some examples:

• The 5 most populated nations are China, India, USA, Indonesia and Brazil
• Nearly half of the world's population live in these five nations

Sometimes, when I'm asked about the exponential growth of EQUIP around the world, I very quickly give glory to God and then mention that when we launched our Million Leaders Mandate initiative in 2003, we focused on getting our training to India, Indonesia, China and Brazil in a very short window of years.  In 2003, we launched in India and Indonesia.  After initiating the training on the African continent in 2004 and Europe in 2005, we pushed out into China in 2006.  In addition to China, we launched into Spanish-speaking Latin America in 2006.  Now, as we transition into the early months of 2008, we focus on Portuguese-speaking Brazil!

In February, John Maxwell and the... read more.

Would you and your church like to know what God is doing behind the scenes?
Do you want to know what is going on that isn’t on the evening news?

Would your church like an up close and personal account of "What God is doing in the world"?

EQUIP has the privilege of working in 104 nations and with 27 strategic partner ministries. All this gives us a unique perspective of the big picture of what God is doing internationally. If you would like an EQUIP representative to share with your church on a Missions Sunday, special event or any service, we offer speakers.

Are you and your church interested in a specific nation or region of the world?  EQUIP can provide and accurate, up-to-the-minute perspective of what is happening there for the cause of Christ. We would be happy to share with your congregation. For instance, if you would like to know what God is doing in the Middle East, our topic could be “The Middle East - Past, Present, and Tomorrow’s Headlines.”
