Volume II Sample Notebook Curriculum

Million Leaders Mandate - Volume 2 Curriculum 

The Million Leaders Mandate international curriculum consists of two volumes. The notebooks in Volume Two are thematic and each are based on one of Dr. John C. Maxwell best selling books.  Each notebook has six lessons and each lesson is based on biblical leadership principles that we believe are timeless and universal. Also, each lesson is devoted to three areas that are crucial to leadership development:

1) Spiritual Formation: Integrity, Ethics, Humility, Motives, Core Values
2) Skill Formation: Developing People, Communicating, Team Building, Problem Solving
3) Strategic Formation: Effective Planning, Priorities, Vision

Today Matters

1. Today Can Be a Masterpiece – We answer the question, “How does what you do today impact tomorrow’s success?”

2. Managing My Attitude, Priorities and Health – Three of the most difficult areas to master for a leader. How do we steward these possessions?

3. Managing My Family, Thinking and Commitment - Through the lives of Solomon and Noah we understand that decisions lead to direction which leads to a destination.

4. Managing My Finances, Faith, and Relationship - three areas that potentially give us great stress. In this lesson we will discuss the most talked about issues in the New Testament.

5. Managing My Generosity, Values and Growth – In this lesson we will focus on leaving a legacy which has more value than leaving an inheritance.

6. Managing My Personal Growth – Managing our personal growth is vital to us fulfilling our assignment from God; it is a stewardship issue which we will understand better as we look at the discipline of our growth.

Notebook 2 Lesson Summaries:

1. The Right To Have Followers – The best leaders handle relationship well and earn their right to be followed by others. It is not automatic; it takes character, competence and chemistry to have people follow because they want to not because they have to.

2. Are We Prepared for Relationships – In this lesson we will study several “people principles” that have helped leaders connect with people over the centuries.

3. Are We Willing to Focus On Others – By looking at Nebuchadnezzar, Abigail, David, Jonathan, Barnabas, John Mark and Nathan, we will study six principles that will help us connect with other people.

4. Can We Build Mutual Trust – Why do many relationships fail? Remember that relationships are the currency of God’s Kingdom and if we fail at this, we fail spiritually. The “people principles” we will study in this lesson will answer the question, “Can we build lasting trust?”

5. Are We Willing To Invest In Others - People are God’s best idea! So why don’t we invest in them more? Through the lives of Moses, Joshua, Peter, King Saul and others we will study not only why we should invest in others, but what it takes to invest in others.

6. Can We Create A Win-Win Relationship –Every relationship has the potential to be a win-win connection. But can we, and if yes, then how can we? We will look at six principles to create a win-win in relationships.
