Graduations in Europe: An Eternal Memoir

by Nadya Rodoslavova, Europe Project Manager

Fall 2007 is an exciting time for such countries as Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine and Romania as they approach the finish line of a 3 year journey – Volume 1 of Million Leader Mandate training. Over 4,000 leaders are graduating and 71,000 of their mentees follow whom they have been faithfully training during the 3 year period.Associate trainers karl eastlack and john robertson with russian graduate.

The time of graduation is both sad and joyful.  “It is sad because this phase of the journey through leadership training is over; but it is amazing, because thousands of new leaders have been trained and many more are about to be trained!” says our Armenian Country Coordinator. “I want to thank John Maxwell and his team at EQUIP from the bottom of my heart for the privilege to be a part of God’s greatest work on this planet today. You help us write the history of our nation and the nations around us with new power and vision!”

As I look back through the history of these countries, and ponder what is really taking place, I stand astonished with the wisdom and might of the great God whom we serve.

Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Romania, Belarus…countries of the former Soviet Bloc… Only 20 years ago they were surrounded by the iron curtain so thick and strong that neither people inside or outside thought that it would ever come down. A Godless communist government had launched a severe persecution trying to eliminate every Christian. For 70 years, Christians were fined, imprisoned, exiled and killed; children were separated from parents and sent to orphanages; church buildings and prayer houses were burned and destroyed. It seemed that evil was prevailing and by 1980’s, there were a total of only 4,000 Christian leaders remaining in the vast Soviet Union of 185 million people. BUT GOD MIRACULOUSLY INTERVENED!  The impossible happened!  The Soviet Union collapsed almost overnight. Now, thousands of leaders are rising up equipped with the knowledge, skills and vision to win their countries for Christ and change their history forever.

Once again, God proves that there is nothing too hard for Him, “for wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.” Daniel 2:20-21

And how blessed we are to be the instruments through whom He writes this eternal memoir!
