Fall 2007 is an exciting time for such countries as Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine and Romania as they approach the finish line of a 3 year journey – Volume 1 of Million Leader Mandate training. Over 4,000 leaders are graduating and 71,000 of their mentees follow whom they have been faithfully training during the 3 year period.

It was a beautiful September morning in New York City as John Maxwell, Tom Atema and I were escorted into the complex known as the United Nations!  John had been asked by Campus Crusade’s Christian Embassy, along with several other key ministry groups to be the speaker at the UN’s 2007 International Prayer Breakfast.  These groups do a great job of ministering to leaders from all over the world.

This year’s event was hosted by Ugandan UN Ambassador, Francis Butagira.  The room hosted between 300 and 400 people.  Joining us was Dallas pastor and EQUIP board member, Gerald Brooks, his son-in-law and Ron Johnson.  Ron is EQUIP’s partner for ministry in the Persian Speaking World and was strategically used of God to arrange John Maxwell’s visit to the UN.
