New MLM Curriculum

In May, a special prelude to the full launch of Volume Two of the Million Leaders Mandate curriculum was a resounding success!  Tom Atema of EQUIP and Michael Shepard of World Outreach Ministries taught the first notebook of the new curriculum in Hyderabad, India. 

EQUIP is partnering with World Outreach India to train 30 national trainers in Hyderabad.  These national trainers will each develop 10 leaders in their sphere of influence as well as equip key leaders at 25 conference sites throughout India. 

The leaders were enthusiastic about the new curriculum.  One Pastor told EQUIP, “I went back to my church and started teaching what I had learned to my leaders the next day.  It was so practical, so timely, and it just made sense to me.”  Another leader declared, “This first notebook of Volume Two is new, updated, and improved."

The Volume Two curriculum was strategically designed to be theme-based, with each notebook covering one key area of leadership taught by John C. Maxwell.  International leaders will experience significant growth as they focus on one major area of leadership per notebook, rather than dispersing their attention to multiple topics.  For example, Volume 2, Notebook 1, called Today Matters, focuses on twelve daily decisions each leader needs to make to grow to their maximum potential. 

The second notebook in the series is Winning With People, which equips leaders with the attitudes and skills they need to effectively relate with others.  EQUIP’s international partners are thrilled about this new theme-based format which maximizes the potential for growth.

Each notebook and lesson of Volume Two reviews some of the foundational, biblical principles of leadership that were taught in Volume One.   Volume One addressed three crucial areas to leadership development:  the spiritual formation of a leader, the skill formation of a leader, and the strategic formation of a leader.  Volume Two incorporates these three areas in each lesson through biblical case studies, practical teaching, discussion questions, and intentional application. 

MLM Volume Two is a strategic resource to lift international Christian leaders to higher levels, equipping them to reach their churches, communities, and nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Volume Two will be launched in the Philippines, Indonesia, and additional sites in India in late 2007 and early 2008.
