Equip welcomes new
president, Tom Mullins

The world we live in is constantly faced with a myriad of challenges and changes; and the battle is waging for the heart and soul of the nations of the world. EQUIP is committed to making a difference by doing everything we can to fulfill the Great Commission through a global movement of transformation!  As we steadily carry out the call to train Christian leaders, the momentum for that transformation is building!

Through many years of Christian leadership training around the world, EQUIP realizes that global transformation can only be attained as the church bands together for greater impact.  Accordingly, our vision has a renewed focus as we welcome our new President, Tom Mullins.  “EQUIP exists to resource church leaders so they can effectively mobilize their people to transform their world. We know firsthand that our effort towards transformation will be most effective as we partner God’s people.”

As the founding pastor of Christ Fellowship Church in South Florida and a former football coach, Tom, also known as ‘Coach’ by all of us on the EQUIP team, is no stranger to EQUIP or to the heart of our ministry.  Since his first introduction to EQUIP in 1997, he and the Christ Fellowship family have supported our mission, both prayerfully and financially, to help train Christian leaders to transform their world. In 2012, the church also hosted the inaugural Global 2020 conference which gathered EQUIP’s past and present international partners, associate trainers, donors and leaders as the call to Transformation was first unveiled by our founder, John C. Maxwell.

Coach has also invested much of his time and resources to support the ministry by serving on the EQUIP Board of Directors since 2003 and traveling around the world teaching and speaking on behalf of EQUIP. In addition, Tom has also chaired the Transformation Team for the last year.  He and the team have led the efforts to design, implement, test and evaluate a global transformation model starting in Guatemala.

Under Coach’s leadership, EQUIP will continue to train Christian leaders in 174 nations as we also shape and sharpen the vision to mobilize leaders for global transformation. He and the Board of Directors believe the Lord has great things in store for EQUIP in this new season of ministry. “God has entrusted John and our team with great insights into Biblical leadership principles that are proven to be transformational.  Through our partnership with the church and other Great Commission ministries, I believe we are positioned to experience even greater impact for Christ than ever before.”

EQUIP is excited to journey this next season together as we unite the body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission. Join us in welcoming our new president and praying for our entire team as we labor together to fulfill God’s desire to see a revival of transformation around the world.
